Can Therapy Help?
Sometimes we live in the shadow of our feelings. Talking to a therapist can help with your emotional problems because it enables you to step out of the shadows.
Therapy can be short or long term and of varying frequency, from 1 - 3 sessions per week. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Online sessions are via Zoom.
The setting of Therapy is very important. Working with painful feelings needs a safe and consistent space. This requires regular sessions that take place at the same time in a constant setting.
"My job, as your therapist, is to provide a space where you feel safe enough to talk about your painful feelings."
I am a qualified psychotherapist (qualified in 2017). I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, the Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy (AGIP) and the Inner City Centre. I work with adults in private practice. In addition to my private practice, I undertake referral assessments for AGIP & Number 42’s Reduced Fee Service (RFS) and supervise trainees on placement in Number 42’s RFS. I was a sessional therapist for the Refugee Therapy Centre; I have also volunteered as a therapist for charities that helped people with psychosis, bereavement and for Mind.
‘How do I know if Tony is the right therapist for me?’ The answer to this important question is to dip your toe into the water. By having a session and listening to your feelings, you will know if we are a good fit for each other.
