Can Therapy Help?
Sometimes we live in the shadow of our feelings. Talking to a therapist can help with your emotional problems because it enables you to step out of the shadows.
Therapy can be short or long term and of varying frequency, from 1 - 3 sessions per week. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Online sessions are via Google Meets, or Zoom. Telephone sessions are also available.
The setting of Therapy is very important. Working with painful feelings needs a safe and consistent space. This requires regular sessions that take place at the same time in a constant setting. For this reason, your space in therapy is reserved for you, which is why there is a cancellation charge for missed sessions (full fee).
The fee for individual therapy is £60. If we find that increasing the frequency of therapy from 1 to 2, or 3 sessions per week would be beneficial the fee for each session will be reduced.
"My job, as your therapist, is to provide a space where you feel safe enough to talk about your painful feelings."
I am a qualified psychotherapist and a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I qualified as a psychotherapist in 2017. I work with individuals and couples. I was a sessional therapist for the Refugee Therapy Centre. I have also volunteered as a therapist for charities that helped people with psychosis, bereavement and for Mind.
‘How do I know if Tony is the right therapist for me?’ The answer to this important question is to dip your toe into the water. By having a session and listening to your feelings, you will know if we are a good fit for each other.
